Last summer around this time I was searching for Goya paintings.
In June, I presented the performative talk "A film without a film" in Festival Domingo, curated by Fernando Gandasegui in La Casa Encendida, Madrid. You can check the full video documentation here. I think the storm in the beginning is missing.
In July 2021, we recorded the last Overexposed podcast with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee radio in Amsterdam. Overexposed was a collaboration with Sonic Acts that you can listen back to here. I had started working with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee for this project a couple of months before.
My collaboration with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee continued after this, and many interesting new projects, conversations and adventures were to come. Some of them that can also be listened back to are: The Rietveld Reviewed conversation during Rietveld Academie Graduation Show 2021, Lo vi de oidas in the show MURO SUR in Rozenstraat, and the reading group Lineages on Theresa Hak Kyung Cha´s Dictée in rongwrong and Manifold Books. At the moment I am busy hosting the first online residency and visiting artists studios.
Last summer I also started working on Flush, a research on waste water infrastructures in collaboration with scientist Shannon Bartlet Hunt. It was part of Flyover Fictions, a project by Ash Eliza Smith and Stephanie Sherman in University of Nebraska Lincoln. Nicolò Pellarin did type and layouts for the presentation that happened in October 2021.
In September 2021 Las Swimmers swam in the swimming pool of Torres Blancas, thanks to Lycra, a show in Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid curated by Lorenzo García–Andrade and Javi Cruz.
I started working on the design of Revista Pasarela, the first issue of a new project edited by Puente Editores, Barcelona, that was launched in February 2022. I spoke in "In search of lost time", a symposium on Art and Journalism hosted by Gabrielle Kennedy in Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam.
In October we hosted Home Cinema x Sandberg Graduation Show 2021, in Het Hem, Amsterdam. Home Cinema is an online video broadcast platform screening and archiving moving image works by young and emerging artists, that I cofounded with Carmen Dusmet Carrasco in 2020. It is periodically activated with collaborations and open calls. The website is designed with Lukas Engelhardt.
Flush was presented as part of the Flyover Summit online.
In November 2021, I was building up the show Circuitos de Artes Plásticas in Sala de Arte Joven, the young Madrid artists award show that opened at the end of the month.
Before that, my film Es Imposible No Puede Ser, side notes for a vampire movie in La Ruta del Bacalao, was screened for the first time in Spain in Luces en la noche in La Casa Encendida, Madrid, curated by Enrique Piñuel.
In December I started my residency of two years in WOW Amsterdam.
Home Cinema launched its first independent Open Call: Home Cinema x Unreliable Narrators.
Home Cinema x Unreliable Narrators happened as an online-offline screening. The online event was hosted in January 2022.
It was generously supported by Amsterdam Fonds Voor de Kunst.
In January 2022, Es Imposible No Puede Ser was screened in Autocine Madrid Race and Emergencia in Cineteca Matadero, Madrid.

In February 2022 Juanito Jones and I helped developing the brand concept for COFI., teaming with Guille Blasco for the architecture and Javier Rodriguez on the visual identity.
In March, I designed some objects for Sorbito by Ainhoa Hernández in me gustas pixelad_ festival in La Casa Encendida, Madrid.
I also went on residency to develop a new work called Damos vueltas en la noche y somos consumidas por el fuego, in collaboration with Eva Geist.
We could finally host Home Cinema x Unreliable Narrators in Reneenee, Amsterdam. The photo is by Diego Diez.
In April 2022, I joined fanfare. fanfare is an Amsterdam based platform and design studio for cross-disciplinary collaboration and visual communication that was founded in 2014.
I also worked on the visual communication of Bosque Real 2022, a live arts festival happening in La Casa de Campo, Madrid.
In May, I presented Damos vueltas en la noche y somos consumidas por el fuego, a sound installation in collaboration with Eva Geist, in Las Malas, curated by Nuria Gómez Gabriel, in Inéditos 2022, Madrid.

Home Cinema hosted a solidarity screening and fundraiser as part of the Kyiv Biennal, and screened the Sandberg Institute Graduation Show 2022. For this occasion we also hosted a physical screening in Rialto VU, Amsterdam.
We presented Home Cinema x Home, our second independent event. Home was supported by Stimuleringsfonds van Creatieve Industrie.
Es Imposible No Puede ser was screened in Glued and Screwed by WYSIWYG Cinema in Filmhuis Den Haag.
And now?
